Sacred Heart Prep, sparked by a buzzer-beating three-pointer just before halftime by guard Matt McNamara, triumphed in the Central Coast Section basketball playoffs over visiting Half Moon Bay, 53-44, in the Division IV boys’s title game at Santa Clara University Friday night.

Sacred Heart Prep has one of the most successful programs in the history of Central Coast Section boys’ soccer. That, however, comes with an asterisk. All those titles came when the Division III playoffs were held in the fall. The Gators now would like to win one in the winter.
