Stanford grad Elaine Breeden and Palo Alto High grad Jasmine Tosky advanced to the semifinals in the women’s 100-meter butterfly at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for swimming on Monday in Omaha, Neb.

Nnemkadi Ogwumike was Stanford’s offense in a 76-60 victory over South Carolina in the Sweet Sixteen of the Fresno Regional in the NCAA tournament. She scored 39 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in top-seeded Stanford’s victory.

The Palo Alto Knights’ Pee Wee football team advanced to the semifinals of the American Youth Football (AYF) National Championships with a 28-0 victory over the Harlem Jets on Saturday in Orlando, Fla. The Knights will play the Phoenix Thunder on Tuesday, with the winner advancing to the national finals on Thursday.
